First Advantage Youth Checking

giving youth a successful financial future

Our goal at Weber Credit Union is to help students understand the importance of savings and the uses of credit.

The First Advantage Youth Checking program allows members ages 16-17 to begin establishing themselves through savings, checking and VISA Debit accounts. As members enrolled in the First Advantage Youth Checking program, students do not need to have a co-signer or joint-account holder.

As members of the program, the student will receive:

education

An essential part of the First Advantage Youth Checking program is educating students on how the decisions they make now will effect their long-term financial success.

Before enrollment in the program, students will be asked to listen to a short, interactive presentation on the importance of using credit responsibly. Topics such as interest, credit reports and other important items will be discussed.

An outreach presentation about how a successful financial future is related to planning, careers, budgeting, investment and credit is also available to area schools and youth groups. Contact Weber Credit Union's Marketing Manager for more information and to schedule a presentation.
